Vedic Math

There are serious reasons to believe that the decimal system was invented before the arrival of Aryans in India Harappa civilization. In Vedic maths indication of the numbers was used touches - jerky found on columns and various implements of everyday life. There are also special devices for computing. In the name of the numbers in the Vedic period and later used the principle of collecting the previous tens or removal from the next. To denote the numbers up to a hundred in Vedic math is used collection, and for large numbers it is combined with multiplication. Their mere display should change and development of writing in India. Over time, the Indians developed very detailed rules for arithmetic operations, built in the decimal system, and this is no small contribution in this area. One of the Vedic math texts - Tayttiriya-Samhita - brings arithmetic progressions with difference 2,4,5,10. Exponentially with private half is contained in one of the Brahma-in.
In VI-II century BC appears in a separate class of Vedic math literature. These Vedic mathematical texts contain rules for the measurement and construction of sacrificial altars systems of calculation of arithmetic operations with whole numbers and fractions of square and indeterminate equations of first and second degree of arithmetic and geometric series for finding approximate irrational quantities, for application of different geometric shapes and the like.
It is known that the theorem related to Pythagoras, was known in the countries of the ancient East since the time when developed Vedic math several centuries before the advent of the Greek philosopher. It is not certain that it is an Indian discovery, but apparently was widely used here. In the field of Vedic mathematicians created the algebra developed symbolism. Here for the first time appear special characters for many unknowns for free member of equation level, and more. Operating with negative values, solving linear equations with one unknown, and systems of linear equations with several unknowns, the solution of positive integers of indeterminate equations of the second degree with two unknowns are some of the latest achievements of Vedic math related the names of Aryabhatta, Varahamihira, Brahmagupta and others.
Returning to the most indisputable evidence of written records, we see that although coal, oil, electricity were not true engines of machines in India did not lack creativity. By using water, wind, fire, the principle of the lever, hydraulic systems and other basic principles of Vedic math was created various devices, gadgets and relief work machines. In primitive form was created and robots. Brief overview of Vedic math convinces us that in this area, although somewhat overlooked today, there are many things conducive to the progress of world civilization. However, it should be remembered that in the ocean of ancient literature have sunk a lot of work, which could testify to the number of unknowns is now science and that of the reserved books all is studied.  We should not to belittle the achievements of this ancient civilization, as now the Vedic Math is one of the most exciting activities for many students around the world.
